AAPELI, kraatareita ja vanhoja nuoria miehiä. EENOKKI, EEVA. JOOSEPPI, Aapelin oppipoika.

(Aapelin huone: perällä ovi, oikealla pöytä ja sen vieressä rahi, vasemmalla tulisija, jonka ääressä Jooseppi seisoo liikutellen kauhalla pataa, joka kiehuu tulella. Eenokki tulee.)
