Avant d'apprendre au lecteur le dénoûment du drame qui se passait dans le bateau à soupape de Martial, nous reviendrons sur nos pas. Peu de moments après que Fleur de Marie eut quitté Saint Lazare avec Mme Séraphin, la Louve était aussi sortie de prison.
