Au bord d'une onde fugitive, Reine des buissons d'alentour, Une rose à demi captive S'ouvroit aux rayons d'un beau jour. Égaré par un goût volage, Dans ces lieux passe le zéphir Il l'apperçoit, et du plaisir Lui propose l'apprentissage; Mais en vain: son air ingénu Ne touche point la fleur cruelle. De grâce, laissez moi, dit elle; À peine vous ai je entrevu. Je ne fais encor que de naître; Revenez ce soir, et peut être Serez vous un peu mieux reçu. Zéphir s'envole à tire d'aîles, Et va se consoler ailleurs; Ailleurs, car il en est des fleurs À peu près comme de nos Belles.
