The Works of Samuel Johnson, Volume 10 Parlimentary Debates I   By: (1709-1784)

Book cover

I recently finished reading a collection of parliamentary debates by Samuel Johnson, and I must say I was thoroughly impressed. Johnson's eloquent writing style and insightful commentary on various political issues of his time made for a captivating read.

The debates presented in this volume offer a fascinating glimpse into the political landscape of 18th-century England. Johnson's sharp wit and keen observations bring the discussions to life, making it feel as though the reader is right there in the midst of the debate.

One aspect of Johnson's writing that stood out to me was his ability to present both sides of an argument fairly and objectively. He carefully weighs the pros and cons of each issue, allowing the reader to come to their own conclusions.

Overall, I found this volume of Johnson's parliamentary debates to be a truly enlightening and thought-provoking read. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in history, politics, or simply great writing. Johnson's intellect and insight shine through in every page, making this a must-read for any lover of literature.
