I Keep Six Honest Serving-men

Book cover
By: (1868-1936)

I recently finished reading a thought-provoking and enlightening collection of poems by Rudyard Kipling. The poems in this collection explore various aspects of human nature and the world around us, using the metaphor of "Six Honest Serving-men" - who answer the questions of What, Why, When, How, Where, and Who.

Kipling's writing style is both lyrical and powerful, drawing the reader in with vivid imagery and profound insights. Each poem in the collection delves into a different theme or idea, offering a unique perspective on life, love, and the human experience.

One of the things I appreciated most about this collection is the way in which Kipling challenges the reader to think deeply about the world and their place in it. The poems provoke reflection and introspection, prompting the reader to consider their own beliefs and values.

Overall, I found I Keep Six Honest Serving-men to be a beautiful and thought-provoking collection of poems that resonated with me long after I had finished reading. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a contemplative and engaging read.

Book Description:

Please be forewarned that this recording has the n word which was very upsetting to hear while listening with my 8 year old daughter. I would like this story to be removed from the playlist so that other children aren't exposed.

Very good for when you're trying to get to sleep and want to listen to something. The reader is very fast, which makes it hard to listen sometimes, but that seems to help, because trying to pay attention to something shuts shout brain down. Nice and interesting stories, I recommend this book to whoever is reading this right now, because abviousely you're either desperate for something to do, or bored enough to look at comments.
