Irradiations; Sand and Spray by John Gould Fletcher is a mesmerizing collection of poems that takes readers on a journey through nature, love, and the passage of time. The author's lyrical prose and vivid imagery paint a beautiful portrait of the world around us, from the swirling sands of the desert to the crashing waves of the sea.

One of the standout features of this book is the way Fletcher seamlessly weaves together themes of beauty and decay, light and darkness. The contrast between the harsh desert landscape and the gentle ebb and flow of the ocean creates a sense of balance and harmony that is both poignant and thought-provoking.

Fletcher's use of language is both elegant and powerful, with each word carefully chosen to evoke emotion and spark the imagination. His poems are filled with rich and evocative imagery that transports readers to distant lands and forgotten moments in time.

Overall, Irradiations; Sand and Spray is a compelling and beautifully crafted collection of poetry that will leave readers both moved and inspired. John Gould Fletcher's elegant prose and thoughtful reflections on life and nature make this book a true gem to be cherished and enjoyed.

Mr Fletcher was part of a group of poets known as imagist poets, which included Amy Lowell and Ezra Pound.
