Book Description:

A bet: Phileas Fogg, an English man, is to travel around the world in eighty days by land and sea. Will he make it?
Let’s follow his adventure through the writings of Jules Verne, in French.

Reviews (Rated: 5 Stars - 1 review)

I knew the entire story from reading illustrated children's versions as a child, but I had never bothered to read the original. What a treasure. The gem is Verne's writing. The sequence of events evoked no interest or emotion in me, because I knew the outcome already, but Verne's detailed portrayal of characters and places absorbed me completely and his wit certainly evoked plenty of laughter. His description of San Francisco then perfectly describes the American restaurant and hospitality industries today. The readings by Faris and Ezwa are superb. The others can be foreborn for the pleasure of listening to these two.
