Subject: FABULOUS job
Both PENROD and PENROD & SAM are such delightful classics and the narrator did an amazing job on all the Tarkington books. If you're a stickler for precision you'll notice a few pronunciation errors for unusual vocabulary (expressions like 'sang froid') but who cares?! The characterizations of every personality and mood, the dynamic interactions, and some of the most hysterical moments - the sounds of Penrod imagining himself playing the horn... really hilarious. Sweet. Wish there were more - an absolute treat.
