On an evening in the latter part of May a middle aged man was walking homeward from Shaston to the village of Marlott, in the adjoining Vale of Blakemore, or Blackmoor. Subject: Thomas Hardy kills me
Somehow I've missed this book in all the Thomas Hardy I've read. The story contained many surprises, especially in the last few chapters, and the reader did a good job.
