This is easily the best autobiography ever written (of anyone), so yes its a great book. BUT, the reading is horrible. Unlistenable. I actually looked up Librivox to find out if they had some advanced computer reading it. Nope, just an unpracticed volunteer. Stream a random sample above and you'll see. Best to find another copy. Sorry Librivox volunteers, but practice makes perfect.

Ben Franklin was an AMAZING MAN and one of the fathers of our country, but, after chapter 9 I just couldn't listen to anymore. Cudos to the narrator for trying so hard. I'm sure he learned a lot.

Interesting only because it is Ben F. First part is very good but second is borderline boring.

Subject: Not recommended for the casual listener
Dry-ish contents with an even drier reader, monotone and without fluency.
