Reviewer: ReneeReader - January 13, 2020 Subject: The Case of Jennie Brice mystery A great story with some fun twists from the flooding. Also gives fascinating glimpses into how Chicagoans managed decades ago, before flood management and air conditioning. (Keep the piano on the upper floor!) so it was fun in a historical way as well as the main story itself. The volunteer reader was good - note: I tend to approach these free Librivox.org readings as if a friend were reading to me; it’s all good, better, or great. |
Reviewer: Margaret - August 17, 2018 Subject: Case of jennie brice Good story with a good reader. I enjoyed it very much. Like her voice |
Reviewer: Ryan - July 10, 2017 Subject: The Case of Jennie Brice Boring storyline, sleepy narration. Hard to stay interested in. |
Reviewer: Sheri - January 23, 2017 Subject: The Case of Jennie Brice Interesting story and well narrated by only one reader, which is a relief. Only a few words were too oddly pronounced to understand. Enjoyable and easy to listen to. |
Reviewer: Bernie - April 10, 2015 Subject: The Case of Jennie Brice A good story with some interesting twists and turns, thought I had figured it out early on and then...... Nicely narrated by Wina Hathaway, you get used to her accent and translate some oddly pronounced words easily enough. |
