By: (1860-1937)

Dear Brutus is a captivating and thought-provoking play by J.M. Barrie that explores the idea of second chances and the choices we make in life. Set in a mysterious forest on Midsummer Eve, a group of seemingly unrelated characters find themselves given the chance to start anew and confront their regrets and desires.

Barrie's writing is both charming and insightful, and he skillfully crafts each character's story to highlight the complexities of human nature. The dialogue is sharp and engaging, with plenty of humor and wit sprinkled throughout.

What truly sets Dear Brutus apart is its deep exploration of themes such as fate, destiny, and the nature of choice. The play poses questions about the paths we take in life and the impact of our decisions on our future.

Overall, Dear Brutus is a compelling and poignant work that will leave readers reflecting on their own choices and the possibilities of second chances. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a thought-provoking read.

Book Description:
At a house in the country 8 guests are invited to enter a magical wood to see what might have happened had they made a different choice in life. Even though they are warned away from the wood, they take a chance and enter. The title comes from Shakespeare: "The fault lies in our selves, dear Brutus, not in our stars...," and summarizes the theme of this play: given a second chance, will people still make the same mistakes?
