By: (1928-1982)

Philip K. Dick's collection of short stories, including "The Eyes Have It" and "Tony and the Beetles," offers a fascinating glimpse into the author's imaginative and thought-provoking storytelling. In these tales, Dick explores themes of perception, reality, and the unknown, blending elements of science fiction with a touch of the surreal.

In "The Eyes Have It," Dick crafts a clever narrative that plays with the idea of sight and interpretation. The protagonist's misunderstanding of a simple sentence leads to a series of humorous misunderstandings, highlighting the ways in which our perception can shape our reality.

"Tony and the Beetles" takes readers on a more intense journey, as a man is confronted with a strange and unsettling discovery that challenges his understanding of the world around him. Dick weaves a suspenseful and intriguing tale that keeps readers engaged from start to finish.

Overall, Philip K. Dick's stories in this collection showcase his unique blend of creativity, wit, and philosophical ponderings. Fans of speculative fiction and mind-bending narratives will find much to appreciate in these two compelling tales.

Book Description:
Aliens have invaded the earth! Horrible one celled creatures disguised as normal human beings ! Well, at least that is what it seems to the author. Yes, The Eyes Have It is a whimsical story, making gentle fun of certain writing styles, but only a topflight science-fictionist like Philip Dick , we thought, could have written this story, in just this way. Tony and the Beetles takes place far in the future when Earth's enormous colonial empire is well established but the question is, how long can it last? 10 year old Tony grows up fast when history catches up with the human race. A sobering look at human history .. and our probable future. Two very different stories but both entertaining.

Very very silly but amusing. I cant think of a better reader than Phil to bring its silliness to life. Tony and the Beetles seemed a tad pointless
