Twee citaten uit Proeve van Kleine Gedigten voor Kinderen. Van Alphen schreef voor zijn zonen drie dichtbundels (‘Ziedaar, lieve wigtjes! Een bundel gedigtjes’) en gaf ze aanvankelijk anoniem uit.
