Book cover
By: (1863-1924)

Based on the author's own life, this book tells the story of "little sister". The youngest of eleven, she is unwanted in the beginning. The brother who loved her most, and whom she loved most in the world, is Laddie. She is almost lonely, and it's hard for her to study, so her comfort is nature. In an unforgettable way, which is funny and sad, little sister tells us her story.

Reviews (Rated: 5 Stars - 2 reviews)

If there were only some way to give separate star rating for the book itself and for the reading, but there isn't, so I have to decrease the rating only for the reader. She is a very stilted, read-the-words reader, but after a while I adjusted to the sound. She DID try some Southern England accents for one of the characters which was very pitiful...some things are just best left alone! Enjoyable book, though.
