Book cover

Rime di Tullia d'Aragona is a collection of poetry written by sixteenth-century Italian courtesan Tullia d'Aragona. The book offers a unique insight into the life and works of a woman defying societal norms and expectations of her time. Tullia's poetry is passionate, eloquent, and deeply introspective, reflecting her experiences as a woman in a male-dominated world.

Through her verses, Tullia explores themes of love, desire, and heartbreak, capturing the complexities of human emotions with a raw and honest voice. Her writing is both sensual and intellectual, blending personal experiences with philosophical reflections on life and love.

Despite living in a time when women were expected to conform to strict social standards, Tullia's poetry reveals a rebellious spirit and a fierce determination to assert her own voice. She challenges traditional notions of femininity and embraces her own sexuality with a boldness that is both refreshing and empowering.

Overall, Rime di Tullia d'Aragona is a compelling read that sheds light on the life of a remarkable woman who defied convention and left behind a powerful legacy through her poetry. Tullia d'Aragona's words continue to resonate with readers today, making this collection a timeless and important contribution to the literary canon.
