L'INGÉNU, histoire véritable, tirée des manuscrits du P. Quesnel , 1767, deux parties, petit in 8°, fut, dans quelques éditions, intitulé: Le Huron, ou l'Ingénu .

L'ouvrage se vendait publiquement en septembre 1767, mais au bout de huit ou dix jours il fut saisi; et le prix, qui était de trois livres, monta à vingt quatre[1].

Trois ans après, on vit paraître L' Ingénue, ou l'Encensoir des dames, par la nièce à mon oncle , Genève et Paris, chez Desventes, 1770, in 12.
