Book Description:
Many books describe the role of men during American history. However, at the same time, women did much: comforted, fought, helped, raised children, and much more. This book is full of mini-biographies of women in many places, and many ages- each chapter telling about a different subject.

Fascinating and inspirational! Stories of the strength of women in many aspects of womanhood. Bravery, compassion, intelligence, and perseverance are demonstrated through personal and historical details. Commentary by the author on the character and example of women is insightful and timeless. Would have loved to hear stories like this in school. (Warning: some of the stories include some pretty brutal battle details)
