Ruégote que le leas y le aprecies en lo que valiere; pues aunque todavía está tu vida en su primavera, aunque te embisten de rondon los pasatiempos todos, aunque eres hermosa, y tu talento da á tu hermosura mayor realce, aunque te elogian de dia y de noche, motivos concomitantes que son mas que suficientes para que no tengas pizca de sentido comun, con todo eso tienes agudeza, discrecion, y finísimo gusto, y te he oido discurrir con mas tino que ciertos derviches viejos de luenga barba, y gorra piramidal.
