Book cover
By: (1849-1918)

Cats by the Way is a heartwarming collection of stories about the author's experiences with various cats throughout her life. Sarah E. Trueblood has a deep love and appreciation for these mysterious creatures, and it shines through in her writing.

Each story is beautifully crafted and full of emotion, from the joy of welcoming a new kitten into her home to the heartbreak of saying goodbye to a beloved feline companion. Trueblood's prose is both lyrical and straightforward, making for an engaging and enjoyable read.

What sets this book apart is the author's ability to capture the essence of cats – their independence, their curiosity, and their undeniable charm. Whether you're a cat lover or simply appreciate well-written memoirs, Cats by the Way is sure to tug at your heartstrings and leave you with a newfound appreciation for our feline friends. Highly recommended.

Book Description:
Between these pages you will find only the good, old-fashioned, every-day cat. No Angora or thoroughbred has been entered here, unless it be "Hansie," who is little more than mentioned. These are true incidents and true lives, with the exception of the one chapter, "The Mission of the Cat." The reader will pardon the intrusion of Victor, the dog. I have added him as the cook adds her trace of spice, but feeling also that he is entirely in place, being an ardent cat-lover himself.
