Extraordinary Adventures of Arsène Lupin, Gentleman-Burglar (version 3)

Book cover
By: (1864-1941)

I recently finished reading The Extraordinary Adventures of Arsène Lupin, Gentleman-Burglar by Maurice Leblanc, and I must say, it was a captivating and thrilling read from start to finish. The novel follows the charming and mysterious Arsène Lupin, a master thief who uses his wit and skills to pull off daring heists while staying one step ahead of the law.

Leblanc's storytelling is superb, with a perfect balance of action, humor, and suspense that keeps the reader on the edge of their seat. The character of Arsène Lupin is magnetic and enigmatic, making him a fascinating protagonist to follow throughout the story.

The plot is full of twists and turns, as Lupin outsmarts his opponents and evades capture with ease. Each caper is more elaborate and daring than the last, showcasing Lupin's cleverness and ingenuity. The supporting characters are also well-developed and add depth to the story, making it a rich and engaging read.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed The Extraordinary Adventures of Arsène Lupin, Gentleman-Burglar and would highly recommend it to fans of mystery and adventure novels. Leblanc's writing is top-notch, and Arsène Lupin is a character that will leave a lasting impression long after the final page is turned.

A good book, though the arrogance of Lupin is a bit much, written to rival that of Sherlock Homes I'm sure. The narrators are good throughout, though some are less enjoyable to listen to than others.
