明夷待訪錄原君 原臣 原法 置相 學校 取士 建都 田制 兵制 財計 胥吏 奄宦
題辭 余常疑孟子一冶一亂之言，何三代而下之有亂無治也？乃 觀胡翰所謂十二運者，起周敬王甲子以至於今，皆在一亂之運 、向後二十年交入「大壯」，始得一治，則三代之盛猶未絕望 也。
前年壬寅夏，條具為治大法，未卒數章，遇火而止。今年 自藍水返於故居，整理殘帙，此卷猶未失落於擔頭艙底，兒子 某 某 請 完 之 。
冬十月，雨窗削筆，喟然而歎曰：昔王冕倣《周禮》，著 書一卷，自謂「吾未即死，持此以遇明主，伊、呂事業不難致 也」，終不得少試以死。冕之書未得見，其可致治與否，固末 可知。然亂運未終，亦何能為「大壯」之交！吾雖老矣，如箕 子之見訪，或庶幾焉。豈因「夷之初旦，明而末融」，遂祕其 百也！

有生之初，人各自私也，人各自利也，天下有公利而莫或 興之，有公害而莫或除之 。 有人者出，不以一己之利為利，而使天下受其利，不以一 己之害為害，而使天下釋其害。此其人之勤勞必千萬於天下之 人。夫以千萬倍之勤勞而己又不享其利，必非天下之人情所欲 居也。故古之人君，量而不欲入者，許由、務光是也；入而又 去之者，堯、舜是也；初不欲入而不得去者，禹是也。豈古之 人有所異哉？好逸惡勞，亦猶夫人之情也。
